How to use Quick Replies and Button
With Quick Replies and Buttons, you can guide conversations while still giving users clear choices. Each option serves a different purpose depending on how much freedom or commitment you want from the user.
👉You can find the Quick Reply and Button options in the Instagram Node in the Flow Builder
What is Quick Replies
Quick Replies are temporary options that help users make a quick choice and move the conversation forward.
For example, if you ask a user "What would you like to do next?", you can show Quick Replies such as "See Pricing", "Browse Products", or "Talk to Support". Once the user taps one option, that choice disappears and the flow continues based on that selection.

What is Buttons
Buttons are persistent call-to-action elements designed to guide users toward key actions or external link.
For example, after introducing a product or service, you can add a button such as "Visit Website", "More details", or "Book a Call". Unlike Quick Replies, buttons can stay visible inside the message and can also send the user to an external page.

Quick Replies vs Buttons: Which One Should You Use?
Quick Replies and Buttons may look similar, but they serve different purposes in a flow.
Quick Reply
Quick Replies are temporary response options shown to the user inside a message.
They are designed to capture user input and immediately move the conversation forward.
Key characteristics of Quick Replies:
- Disappear after the user selects one option
- Cannot contain external links
- you can define up to 13 Quick Reply buttons.
- Must be connected to a next node in the flow
- Must always be the last block inside an Instagram Node
- Are best used for guiding the conversation path
- Commonly used for choices like Yes / No, Select an option, or Continue
Quick Replies are ideal when you want the user to make a decision that determines the next step in the flow.
Button
Buttons are persistent elements attached to a message.
They can either continue the flow or redirect users to an external destination.
Buttons can be used in two ways:
- Â Without a link:
When no URL is set and connect it to the next node using the handler. In this case, clicking the button continues the flow along the defined path. - With a link:
When a URL is added, clicking the button opens a website or product page.
Two types of Buttons:
Button without link: Branching the Flow (User Choice)
Use buttons to split your flow into multiple paths based on user choice.
This is useful when you want the conversation to continue differently depending on what the user selects.
Example:
What would you like to see next?
Buttons:
- Product details
- Pricing
- Contact support
Each button continues the flow in a different direction.
Button with Link: Sending Users to an External Link (Affiliate, Websites & Payment link)

This link can be:
- A page on your own website
- An affiliate link (for monetization)

- A booking or registration page
 1.Affiliate Link
This is commonly used in affiliate marketing, where clicks need to be tracked properly.

Button:
- View on Amazon
(URL = your affiliate link)
2.Website Link
This is useful when you want to:

"If you’d like to learn more, you can find all the details on our website. Just Tap below button."
Button:
- Visit our website
Button URL:
A specific page on your website (for example, a product, service, or landing page)
3.Payment Link (PayPal / Stripe, and more)
Some creators sell products or services but:
- Don’t have a website
- Don’t use affiliate programs
- Want to get paid directly
In this case, you can use a button that links to an external payment page.
How it works:
- Create a payment link in PayPal, Stripe, and more)
- Copy the payment URL
- Set that URL as the button link in your flow
Â
Example message:
"If you’d like to purchase this service, you can complete the payment using the button below."
Button:
- Pay now
Button URL:
An external payment link
When the user taps the button, they are taken directly to the payment page to complete the transaction — no website required.
Â
4. Linking to Messaging Platforms & Communities
Buttons can also be used to send users to external messaging platforms or communities where you continue communication outside Instagram.
This is useful when you want to:
• Provide direct support via WhatsApp
• Send users to a Telegram channel or group
• Connect them to a private community
• Move the conversation to another platform
Examples:
• Chat on WhatsApp
• Join our Telegram Channel
• Open Telegram Support
• Join our community
When the user taps the button, they are redirected directly to the selected messaging platform.
This is especially helpful for businesses that manage support, communities, or sales conversations outside Instagram.

- Track clicks
- Customize follow-ups
